The woods belonged to someone who lived in the village. The horse could not understand why the poet stopped in the place where there was not a farmhouse nearby. Question No. 2: Compare and contrast the narrator to some other fictional or real-life characters. )
Answer: I would like to compare the narrator of "Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening" with my own journey. It was a few years ago. We were going to a city from our house. We were two friends. As we left our home it was the month of Poush and there was raining for three days. We had to walk and the way was very hard because it was through a high mountain covered with snow and jungle. The road was very steep ( भिरालो ) and just for cattle. All the day we walked and walked on the cold hill. We were about to freeze but did not stop our journey. When we reached the top of the mountain, it was raining and few snowfalls. Though the scene and the snowfall was very much amusing, it was very hard for us to tolerate the cold. There was no home or hotel for us. We found a shed there and take shelter for some time. There were some dry woods and dry grass in the shed. We tried to burn fire but we had no matchsticks ( सलाई ). As we were in search of matchsticks, we found an old man coming to us. He was smoking a cigarette. We became very happy and made fire with that cigarette's fire. Then we cheered and sang songs and danced with joy. It was a beautiful to see snowfall and site beside the fire in a shed. We did not know whose shed was that but we ere enjoying there. But, we had no long time to enjoy the snow and fire because we had to reach our destination before evening. We had no torch or something to eat if we were late to reach city. So, like the Poet, we also enjoyed the snow and moved to our destination before evening.

Question No. 3: Interpret the poem: What night Frost be trying to say here ? )

Answer: The poet is trying to memorize us the reality of our life. Though this poem he compares our life with the moment and the plot of poem. As in the poem we are in our journey of life. It is very hard and cold because we have no energy in youth. It is the later part of our life like the part of the day or evening. That means we are very near to our death but as the poet we have so many things to complete before our death as before sleep. Here the poet compares many things with our life-cold, snow as hardship in life; evening with later part of life or old age; bell as the sound of death or Yama, promise as works or desires; sleep as death.

Question No. 4: Describe your feelings at different points of the narrative. )
Answer: The poem is really comparison of human life. This is a symbolic poem by Frost. The name of the poet is itself a symbol frost. It means very tender and soft ice that can melt easily any time. Therefore, this poem also symbolically compares our life, its hardships, sorrows and duties to be done etc. while I read this poem I realise that in fact our life is as described in this poem. When I reach my old age at that time I will feel that life is very difficult but the nature or the world is very much amusing as everything in this world belong to god. These beautiful things belong to the unseen god but we enjoy these things. Before we die we have many things to do memorable for our future generation.

Question No. 5: A literary critique: Frost's choice of words, development of poem, ending. Is Frost a good poet ? Why ? Would you be tempted to read other poems of his ? )
Answer: In fact, poems reflect interesting and serious things too. Poems, songs and music are such things that make people very close and amusing. They are very touchy also. It is because they are able to touch our hearts. Frost is such a poet whose poems are very much beautifully composed and are able to touch our heart. It is because the subject matter or the analogy matches with our real life and it's moments, sorrow, happiness, joy etc. One interpretation of this stanza is that the speaker is tempted toward death which he considers "lovely, dark and deep", but he has many responsibilities to fulfill before he can "sleep". This poem presents nature as a standard of beauty that is so strong that it captures the speaker's attention and makes him or her halt whatever they are doing. His poems look like very nice and simple also to read but they carry very deep sense. So, I always read his poems as found.
Question No. 6: Does Frost's narrative touch you in any way ? How ? Why ? )
Answer: Yes, Frost's narrative touches me very closely. His poem is very near to our life. Like the situation created in the poem, I have faced many moment similar to this. Like the poet we are also in the journey of our life and it is difficult but the world is very beautiful which we are using but its creator or owner, is very far. We have many places to travel or walk but the time is with their horns or bells when we make any mistakes. Like in the poem, in the real world I have many promises to keep. I have so many things to complete.

Question No. 7: Have you ever had similar experiences ? If so, please describe and compare them to the narrator's. If not, do the same for something you have seen or heard in real life or on the screen. )
